This is for a 6 point cage with additional cross door bars. This kit can be either weld in or bolt in. (All welding is TIG welding) Comes with plinths. This is for serious track days or drift cars (complies with D1 rules) to meet safety rules the dash has to be removed and the dash cut around the new cage. It is the owners responsibility to remove and reinstall the dash, unless a custom ali dash is to be made. Our cages have been designed for either the 2nd generation RX7 (FC) or the 3rd generation model RX7 (FD). Price remains the same for FD or FC car and there is no premium for weld in or bolt in cage, one price for all.

Mild Steel

The mild steel used in our cages is Clubman 500, which is equivalent to CDS2 and far exceeds the CDS 1 requirements. All cages will meet all motor sport regulations and usually exceed there requirements for racing safety.

Plinths

Plinths are used so that you dry fit the cage, then remove the plinths so you can weld top of joints near roof, then lift up and weld on to plinths, which lift tight to roof. I have seen 1st hand how cages get welded in, but on closer inspection they are not completely welded round and can be dangerous.
